Militants lobbed a grenade at always busy General Bus Stand, Jammu late night this Thursday. According to news reports, Police said that three persons including two cops received injuries when a group of unidentified terrorists hurled a grenade on police gypsy at around 10:45 pm on Thursday night near Petrol Pump at General Bus Stand while a taxi was also received minor damaged in the explosion.
Online reports further states that grenade exploded near police vehicle after it was lobbed, which reduced its intensity and no casualty took place. “The injured have been rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H),”. After hearing the sound of the blast panic gripped the area and locals along with some Shiv Sena leaders gathered at the spot and started raising slogans against Pakistan.
This is after the long time that a grenade blast took place in the Jammu City. Police said they have intensified searches to nab the militants. Soon after the attack, local shopkeepers of Bus Stand and other activists gathered at the spot and shouted slogans against Pakistan. Some of the activists also shouted slogans against the BJP for declaring ceasefire, leading to militant attack after a long time.
After a halt of about an hour, night movement inter-State buses from the Bus Stand, resumed.
